in Belize applications are processed after the non-refundable fee of $75US is paid. For ease of payment, TEP accepts all major credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and the Discover cards.
To secure a seat in the Intern in Belize or Volunteer in Belize programs, a small non-refundable confirmation deposit is required. The required amount will be shared with participants through a letter notifying them of their admitted status to the program.
The program offers an installment plan for those participants who need additional time to process financial aid and scholarships from their home institution and other external sources.
The program cancellation and refund policy applies only to the refundable portion of program fees, which represents approximately 70% + of overall program fees.
An admitted Intern or Volunteer in Belize program participant wishing to cancel his/her program must notify TEP in writing. Eligibility for refund will be determined on the day written notification is received. Notification can be sent by e-mail or fax to expedite the refund process.
Refunds apply only to refundable portions of the program fees.
- Written cancellation within 90 days of the program start date, 100%.
- Written cancellation within 60 days of the program start date, 40%.
- Written cancellation within 30 days of the program start date, 0%.
No refund will be issued for unused services, accommodation, transportation, or no-shows once the program begins. Participants are not eligible for refunds due to weather or airline delays or cancellations. We recommend adding a rider to TEP’s comprehensive travel insurance.
