*MM Scholarships
All  program participants approved for the Intern and Volunteer in Belize Programs are eligible for scholarship funding through the Marilyn McElwain (MM) Scholarship Fund.  The MM Scholarship award amounts varies according to the length of your program and available funding. Earn up to $800 in scholarship funding for your internship or volunteering programs with TEP.

*External Funding
We encourage you to seek additional funding from scholarships and financial aid.

*MM Grants
The MM Scholarship Fund provides grants for students on faculty-led programmingFaculty directors are responsible for selecting students and notifying TEP. Students may earn up to $350 in MM grant funding. Number of grants awarded is determined by the availability of funding.

Your School & TEP

Your conversation with your TEP program advisor should be on the option to earn direct academic credits for your international experience in Belize.

Our alums have received between three (3) and six (6) academic credits for their internship and volunteering experience with TEP. 

Included us in the discussion early and we will help you advocate for academic credits pre-approval.
